The families of children who attend Hedgehogs Nursery, in Tutshill, Chepstow, have been making donations to create wonderful food hampers.  We took a short walk to Castleford Care Home and were excited about giving the gifts to the residents. The children sang songs whilst residents watched and joined in and we wished them all a Merry Christmas on leaving.

New Manager of Hedgehogs Nursery, based at St John’s on-the-Hill School, Tracy Lockley-Griffith, said: “What a lovely memorable experience it was and so nice to make links with the staff at the care home. It is on our doorstep and we are planning regular activities with the children and residents together, there are definitely more ‘magical moments’ to come in 2020.

“It’s a busy time of year! During the last few weeks we have had a Christmas Stay and Play, Christmas Dinner Day, visit from Santa and a Christmas Production by the Pre-School & Kindergarten children, which saw them perform in front of around 120 parents and family members. This Friday we are planning a ‘Twas Night Before Christmas’ where the children will be enjoying festive songs and stories around the Christmas Tree with parents joining us for hot chocolate and mince pies.”
