The children at Hedgehogs Nursery are enjoying wonderful music sessions with singing teacher Mrs Emma Laidlaw-Height.
Emma teaches onsite at St John’s on-the-Hill School and has many years of experience teaching young children to sing and play musical instruments.
The children learn simple, short songs and have the opportunity to practise rhythm on a variety of instruments designed for infants.
The lessons are great fun and are very beneficial for developing social, memory and language skills.
Emma said: “It is important to expose children and babies to a variety of musical experiences. Music encourages children to express themselves and helps them to get their bodies and the minds working together. By singing, dancing and playing music, children build their motor and communication skills and best of all it brings joy.”
